Georgia Trip!

Meg and Landon asked me to do a guest post on their blog...so here it is. I'm apologizing in advance for the lack of humor, I'm normally pretty funny. I think I'm having stage fright or something. Anyways this Thanksgiving Meg and Landon and Hawkes came down to Georgia. On thanksgiving we decided to go to the park...then everyone decided they wanted to look really cute just to go to the park so we took pictures too. (I was pretty sure we looked like a cult of vampires walking around the park in heels and what not, nobody else agreed) Also, I tried super hard to think of a creative title for this post, but unfortunately I couldn't get my creative juices flowing...so I apologize for the lame title too

The whole family, Olivia looks super cute.

And here is Landon and Hawkes, and me in the background...I may or may not be dancing. I'm not really sure

...Meg was too scared to climb up higher even though it was like 5 feet

Meg finally mustered up the courage to climb with the big girls

Just me and Hawkes taking a walk

He loves me I swear

p.s. I'm really sorry for biting you Meg han, I love you more than anything and I didn't mean for it to bruise or ...I think this taught you a lesson to never steal my pants again. I hope we can still be best friends, you're my favorite sister/twin. I know I'm your favorite, Landon's I'm pretty sure too. Love y'all to the moon and back!

Our not so little man

Hawkes is officially 11 months today. Below are some things we have learned about our big boy.

He can change moods rather quickly. Sometimes when he's crying other people think he is laughing.

He LOVES balls. He loves to play and throw any ball he can get his hands on. He can also say the word ball.

He is a very good sharer. He will hold something out for you to take it, but then expects you to give it right back.

Is very independent. He only wants to feed himself these days. And gets very mad if you try to help him. Needless to say my kitchen floor is always a mess.

He wants anything you are eating and will sit and stare at you until you give it to him.

He can stand for a few seconds and has even taking a couple steps. He would be walking already if he wasn't so stubborn. THe second either of us say the word walk he sits right down refusing to even stand with help.

Likes to sleep on your head.

Loves tunnels! He will sit and crawl back and forth under my legs forever. Daddy even made him a tunnel from some cardboard boxes, which he loves!

Loves baths and showers. He would sit and play all day if we let him.

He hates diaper changes. It is a two man job most of the time and he cries the entire time. He starts trying to roll over before I can even get him on the ground most of the time.

He is so smart and loves to babble. He is constantly trying to talk and understands quite a bit of what we say.

Loves to help his Daddy and be involved in any project we are doing. He is always wanting to hold tools and brooms and what not.

So sweet. He has gotten very good at giving kisses and even tries to blow kisses.

Is the best waver! He loves to wave at everyone. He waves over my shoulder when I am holding him and waves from both sides when he's sitting in his stroller.

Loves my shoes. He could sit in my closet for hours playing and trying to eat them,

He loves to open and close doors and drawers.

He has been quite mischievous lately, or maybe I have just been slacking. But this is how I found him the other day. Lucky for me there was nothing gross in the trash and that yogurt was just put there. Apparently he was still hungry.

He loves animals and little kids. He gets so excited and starts screaming anytime he sees one.

Hawkes is the cutest thing around and has been such a joy to have in our family. His personality grows everyday and he has become so much fun. I can't believe he is almost a year old already.

Halloween Postview

Below are a few pictures of Hawkes in his official Halloween costume.  Who wouldn't be scared of this little blue-eyed monster.  He had so much fun scaring the pants off of trick or treaters, and would insist on tricking people who answered the door, regardless of whether they offered him a treat.

We attempted using the lion costume again, but as you can see, Hawkes was not a big fan of the costume covering his hands and had a little bit of a melt down.
