Daddy is gone

Landon left yesterday morning to start the long drive to Pittsburgh.  His dad was nice enough to make the drive with him so Hawkes and I stayed behind.  We will give him some time to get settled into our new place and his new schedule and then we will fly out in a week or two.  We were so sad to see him leave and a few tears were shed, but Hawkes has learned how to skype Daddy and really likes it.  It is so cute to see him so interested and attentive when Landon shows up on the screen.  Not as good as having the real thing, but at least we have that.

Accomplishments

We have had a number of accomplishments in our family recently.  Some more impressive than others.  Here are a few.

First, and most importantly, I grew a mustache.  As you can see, it is quite impressive when coupled with my long flowing hair.

Second accomplishment was that Hawkes found his feet.  This has been quite exciting for him, but it can make changing diapers a little more challenging.

And last, but not least, Hawkes learned to roll over from his back to his front.  He has been attempting this for quite some time, but until just the other day he would get stuck on his arm.  This is actually his first time rolling over, which we caught on film.

April Showers

Does this look like spring to you? This is what I woke up to yesterday morning. Yes it is very beautiful, but I don't think this is what they meant by "april showers". I am so ready for sun and to be able to take Hawkes to the park to play. Oh well. I guess that's what we get for living in Utah. Hopefully the sun will come out soon.

On another note, Daddy had to leave yesterday until Wednesday for work. We are not very excited about it. This picture is how both Hawkes and I feel about it. Come home soon. We miss you!!
