Hawkes and Madi-Georgia Trip

Next up on our agenda was Daddy moving to Pittsburgh. We thought we were going to have to make the long drive with him, but Rob offered to help Landon drive out and then fly home. That left me and Hawkes able to shorten the trip a little and fly. It was a little bittersweet tough. I was so glad to not have to drive with the little man, but it was sad to say bye to Landon for a whole two weeks. We wanted to give him some time to get settled into the new place and job before we kept him up all night by being there. So I spent an extra week in Utah finishing up some small details and hanging out with family and friends. And surprised my family with a trip to Georgia for the second week. My dad helped me keep it a secret and surprise my mom and sisters. My Mom and Madi were pretty surprised to find a stranger in their bed at midnight but were so excited to see us both. It was a very long day flying with Hawkes all by myself, but he did pretty good and didn't have any major meltdowns. It was so nice to be home and see my family and all my friends! Hawkes especially loved getting to hang out with Madi. (My suspicion is that he liked her so much because she looks like his mama) She was so good with him and he loved when she sang to him. Below are some photos of their time together.

He was always so excited to see Madi when she got home from school or soccer practice. She learned quick and went straight to the bathroom to wash up so she could get her hands on him.

I was even a little jealous of how much he liked her. This is them cuddling, which never happens. The kid won't even let me hold him like this.

We even had a special Hawkes/Madi photo shoot. He loved it!

Madi even got him to laugh multiple times. This was a huge accomplishment seeing as I'm the only other person who has done it and it was only a few times. I got a video of it, but can't get it to upload. I will post it as soon as I can. We miss you pretty lady and can't wait for you to come visit!

Hawkes' First Easter

For Easter Landon's parents always have the whole extended family over for a big easter egg hunt. All the little kids absolutely love it and I can't wait for Hawkes to run around searching for treats. Cassie got to come into town so we were lucky enough to get to hang out with her and get some awesome pictures again. Family events are always so fun. Maybe next year we will actually get him an easter basket.

Sorry for the awful quality, but I had to post these. This little outfit was actually Landon's when he was a baby. I love how small it was on his big chunky thighs! Such a cute easter outfit.

California Trip

I will have to go back to almost 2 months to start documenting Hawkes' firsts. At the beginning of April we got to go on a girl's trip to California for Prezley's cheer competition. It was so much fun and lucky Hawkes got to be the only boy! Hawkes had his first plane ride and did great. He was very well behaved and mostly slept. We got to spend lots of time hanging out, did a little shopping, see Prezley compete twice (she did a great job both times and we were so proud of her), and even went to Disneyland! I think I was more scared of the rides than Hawkes was. It was really fun to take him onto the little kid rides though. He was so interested in what was going on, and just loved looking around. It was such a fun trip and so nice to have help with Hawkes all day long. Thanks Julie!

My super talented sister in law and Hawkes taking a nap in his noise canceling headphones.

Cassie always gets the cutest pictures of Hawkes! He was pretty excited to wear his new t-shirt that I bought him on the trip.

The quality of the pictures with my phone is definitely not as good, but here we are enjoying the water show at Disneyland. These headphones were a life saver. Thanks Nick and Erin for loaning them to us!

It looks like someone was a little too tired to finish the water show.

Sorry

I am very aware of how behind I am in my posting. This last month has been a little crazy. I will be working on getting caught up, but here is a photo until I can get started.
