Meg has documented many of the changes occurring these days.  From Hawkes's new teeth, to the speed of his crawl, he seems to grow up more every day.  Recently his hair has started to fill in.  No longer is it just a patch on the top of his head that goes straight forward until it forks in the front like a snake tongue.

Now that he has hair, we feel it is necessary to let him try all sorts of new styles.

This mohawk hairstyle, combined with Hawkes's desire to get into showbiz turned into an uncanny rendition of the lollipop kids song and dance.  It was an AMAZING performance!

Hawkes is getting so big, and loves all of the adventures he gets to go on and things he gets to explore.

On a side note, here I am wearing my favorite socks.

Hawkes' Summer in Pictures

Hawkes has had quite the busy summer. Here is his Pittsburgh summer in photos.

He's been:

Modeling new accessories

Going to the park

Going on playdates

Napping with Daddy

Loving the Ipad

Going for walks

 Hanging out with Mani

And giving her lots of kisses!

Being spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa

Playing at the pool with his aunties

Going out to eat

More modeling

Hanging out at the airport.

Napping on the airplane. He's become quite the pro at flying.

We have really enjoyed our time here in Pittsburgh. It's always fun to have a new adventure. It's also been very nice to be in the east and closer to my family. We have definitely been able to spend some quality time with them. Hawkes has been able to see them for 3 different trips just this summer. We will miss them lots when we go back to Utah, so hopefully they will visit soon. It will be nice to get back home too though. I'm sure there will be another adjustment period and lots of baby proofing in our future.

Happy 2 Years!

2 years ago yesterday we looked like this. It really was such a wonderful day! So much fun spending time with my friends and family and celebrating our marriage. I am quite a lucky girl and have been blessed with a great husband. So to him I say thank you for the best two years and I can't wait for the rest to come. Thanks for picking me!

Hawkes Update

I can't believe Hawkes is almost 8 months old. I know I say this way too much but it is amazing how fast it goes and how much they change. He is learning new things everyday. Here are a few of the new ones:

He is eating solids pretty good, but he definitely prefers food off of our plates over baby food.

Weighs 19 pounds

He is not a fan of being stuck in anything. (ex: car seat, bumbo, stroller)

He is crawling so fast and into everything.

Loves trying to climb the wall to stick his fingers in outlets.

Pulls up on everything and is getting pretty good balance.

He even follows me around and tries to climb my legs until I pick him up.

Has figured out to hang on and refuse to sit when you try to set him down.

Says Mama, like he knows what it means, mostly when he's sad and crying.

Has started making more sounds. Baba, Dada, and Nana.

Likes to blow raspberries on your arm, belly, leg, or face. Whatever is available.

Weighs over 18 pounds. I just love how squishy he is.

Still loves that tongue.

Has 2 bottom teeth.

Enjoys squirming during diaper changes making it impossible to change him. Being on his back just isn't something he's going to do anymore.

Likes to growl. Sometimes he does it to himself in the mirror.

Can give high fives and kisses!

Like I said, quite a bit has changed since the last time I blogged. He is learning new things everyday and really is so fun. Now that he is mobile he is a little more work and this crawling stage has been hard. But I think it's teaching me to loosen up a little as a mom. I guess I can't keep every pair of shoes out of his mouth and I guess he will be ok.
