Happy Holidays (a little late) from the Potter's!
Here are Hawkes and Liv ready for Santa in their penguin Christmas Eve jammies. Thanks Dad and Mom!
My family came to visit for Christmas which was so fun. It's always nice to have them around. We did some shopping and a lot of hanging out. Christmas Eve we went to my Mom's family Christmas party and got to see lots of my extended family. Hawkes was obviously thrilled about taking pictures.
Landon and Madi were a little more enthusiastic. There was quite a lot of modeling going on. Maybe if you are all lucky I will do an entire post on Madi and Landon modeling. It is pretty amazing when these two get together.
We then went down and stayed at my grandma's house with my family. It was fun to all be together. Christmas morning we woke up and my Dad made delicious crepes and we opened presents. We didn't really get Hawkes much this year. He still seems to prefer paper and boxes to the actual presents. He did get plenty of presents from the rest of the family though. After that we headed up to Landon's parents for some more food and presents. We also got some wonderful news....Hawkes is getting another boy cousin to play with. We could not be more excited. Congratulations Cassie and Jeremy! We then hung out and played our usual fun Christmas games. It was a busy fun Christmas. I was pretty bad at documenting this Christmas, but lucky for you I am apparently really good at taking pictures of my son sleeping so I will put some of those up instead.
How cute are these boys? I guess Hawkes really is his father's child.
Plus who doesn't enjoy a good bath picture?
So this might be one of my favorite stories, and probably deserves it's very own post. But let's be realistic. I've been slacking lately and just need to get this all down. I have been looking at getting Hawkes his very own baby piano for at least 6 months. He loves anything that makes noise and loves musical instruments. I figured I would get him one for his birthday, but when that didn't happen I knew for sure I would get it for Christmas. Then one night a few weeks before Christmas a box was at out front door and when I opened it up I almost died. There was the exact baby piano I was looking at. Mind you this is no simple feat, there are many options to a baby piano including color, number of keys, etc. There was no note or anything so I of course wondered who I had told I wanted this. I couldn't think of anyone that it might be. Then I thought of course it was Molly, Hawkes' god mother, except for the fact that I knew I had not mentioned the piano to her at all. I swear we just have the same mind, the same thing happened with a diaper bag when I was pregnant. Hawkes has absolutely loved it and thankfully Cassie had a little photo shoot with him when she was baby-sitting so we could get this little gem. I think it might be one of my favorite photos of him thus far. So thank you Molly and Cassie!!
